Kathleen’s own story is one of inspiration and overcoming adversity, which she shares with a disarming honesty that is at times confronting but never aggressive.

She will delight in including your customers, Managing Director and team members, with humour and skill but always encouraging and empowering.

Kathleen’s professional career began in education (as a teacher) and she is a published author. She has a Bachelor of Education, as well as extensive experience as a presenter in the national and international arena. Kathleen has advanced communication skills, a passion for working with people to help them achieve their goals and a personal reputation for integrity. She is committed to continual improvement and the concept of life long learning.

Prior to establishing her own business, Lifetimes & Milestones: Making every moment count. Kathleen was employed by SIDS as Kids Queensland for over 10 years: the last 8 years as the CEO. Through this role she has participated, presented and played key strategic and implementation roles in state, national and international forums, conference workshops and committees. During this time Kathleen had the opportunity to not only lead an Organisation that went from verifiable strength to strength but also to evolve into a recognised expert in the areas of management and leadership, community education, program development and service delivery.

In addition, Kathleen has been invited to participate in a number of government and non-government Organisations and committees. She has been the recipient of a number of awards and acknowledgments in the business arena. Kathleen is also an awarded international poet and a passionate advocate, committed to issues of social justice, equity and personal empowerment.

Over the past few years Kathleen has turned her considerable talents and experience towards the political area. She ran in the last two federal elections and narrowly missed being elected.

Kathleen is the mother of four children: three teenagers and one child who died in infancy. After a relationship that spanned almost two decades she re-claimed her independence and re-structured her life, a number of years ago. Since then Kathleen surprised herself by finding love again and now shares her heart and their home with her partner Russell and the children (in a flexible arrangement!). She has recently applied to become an authorised celebrant and is officially a land owner on beautiful Russell Island.
